This Privacy Policy explains how CalorieBeat ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. CalorieBeat is provided by Adnovation Technologies LLC ("we", "us", "our").

This policy applies to the CalorieBeat mobile app and related services. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

Data we collect

Account & Contact

Email address (required to sign in), optional name, and a generated user ID.

Health & Fitness

Entries you create (e.g., goals, workouts, sets/reps, body metrics, calorie and nutrition data). You control what you add.

Photos or Videos

If you grant camera or photo library access to capture or upload progress and meal photos, we store those media files only to power in-app nutrition and workout analysis. Uploads are optional.

Purchases

Subscription status and purchase history (product ID, expiry, country, currency) received from Apple and processed via RevenueCat to unlock Premium features.

Usage Data

Product interaction events (e.g., screens opened, taps) to understand feature usage and improve reliability and UX. We do not collect web browsing history.

Diagnostics

Crash/error data and basic performance signals to find and fix issues.

We do not collect precise location, phone contacts, or advertising identifiers for tracking.

App functionality

Create and maintain your account, sync and display your entries, and determine your subscription entitlements.

Customer support & safety

Respond to requests, prevent abuse, and keep the service secure.

Analytics & product improvement

Aggregate, de-identified insights to improve features and stability.

No third-party ads and no cross-app tracking.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

We process your data to perform the contract (provide the App), based on our legitimate interests (security, debugging, improving features), and with your consent where required (e.g., optional uploads).

To process payments and manage subscriptions.

RevenueCat

To verify purchases and entitlements in a privacy-preserving way.

Supabase (database/storage)

To store your account, entries, and optional uploads with access controls.

Crash/diagnostics providers

To receive crash reports and performance data (Apple and/or third-party).

Service providers only process data on our instructions and under appropriate confidentiality and security commitments. We do not sell your personal data.

Kept until you delete your account or ask us to delete data.

Kept as required for finance, tax, and fraud prevention.

Kept for the shortest practical time to analyze and improve stability.

EEA/UK residents also have rights to object/restrict processing and data portability. CA residents have CCPA rights including access and deletion.

Children

CalorieBeat is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access, and rotating keys. No method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve safeguards.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

How to delete your data / account

In the app: Settings → Delete Account. Otherwise, email us and we'll assist promptly.
